Product of the month:

Monitored carbon monoxide sensors

Winter is the most common time people suffer from carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning making it a good time to add a monitored CO sensor to your home security system. CO can cause headache, dizziness, weakness, nausea, vomiting, and even death. Monitored CO sensors from WH Security will alert you if your environment becomes unsafe. If you happen to be away from home when a CO leak occurs, the sensor will activate the alarm panel and send a signal to the monitoring center. Then, your monitoring center will alert you and if necessary, the authorities of the issue. If you have pets, a monitored CO sensor will keep them safe when you aren’t at home.

What is the most frequent question you get when installing a medical alert?
"Will this unit work outside of my house? It depends on which unit you get. The OnTheGo Lite Mobile Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) is equipped with GPS tracking and two-way automated hands-free communication from anywhere with a cellular connection.”
What is the most common product you install?
“The OnTheGo Lite because it has fall detection and they can take wherever they go. It works like a cell phone.”
What do you like most about your job?
“The people! Most of them are close in age to me so we have a lot in common and it is easy and fun to talk with them.”

Ice Palace opens in Delano, MN

As we move into the new year, many of us are looking for something to get us out of our homes while spending time with our families. A short drive to Delano, MN will bring you to The Ice Palace at Fountain Hill Winery and offers stunning ice formations, food, beverages, and entertainment.

The first Ice Palace was created in Idaho by Jim Youngstrom and his family. After five years of success, they decided to expand. Jim’s son and Ice Palace CEO Brigham Youngstrom thought Minnesota would be the perfect place for a new location because of our winters and love of the outdoors. After connecting with Juston Dooly, owner of Fountain Hill Winery, they began to build. Youngstrom’s father designed the patented internal structures and a team of 30 full time employees worked??? over four weeks to complete the palace.

Bring your family out for the beautiful Ice Palace, fire shows, character meet and greet, and delicious food and beverages. Attractions include:

  • Ice Palace
  • Fire shows
  • Character meet and greet
  • Food including authentic Neapolitan pizza, mini donuts, and egg rolls.
  • Beverages including seven Fountain Hill wines, hot cocoa bar, and mulled wine.

The Ice Palace will be open until the beginning of March.
