This four-part, weekly virtual series is organized to encourage collaboration among public, private and civil society tourism industry stakeholders to identify and harness local assets that will grow the Gaspé economy.

 

Live presentations will be streamed through the Facebook pages of CEDEC and the Community for Anglophone Social Action (CASA) simultaneously at 6:00 p.m. (ET) to showcase successful collaborative tourism initiatives.

 

OCTOBER 28

Land and Sea to Plate and Mug - Culinary, Craft Beer and Distillery Tourism in the Gaspésie

 

Aqua and agrotourism typically occur on farms (land or sea) and offer travelers an opportunity to experience rural life, taste local food, and become familiar with the various farming practices and processes required to bring food from the land/sea to table. The Gaspésie is an ideal "foodie" destination with many potential experiences to learn cooking techniques or attend food tastings.

Cultural tourism is where travelers engage with the culture of a country or region, particularly the lifestyle and elements that shape the life of its people. Tourists are immersed in activities such as rituals and festivals. How can we highlight the Gaspé’s cultural treasures and experiences?
